Small Groups

Connection Event, Tuesday October 12^th

7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

        By October 12^th, we will have had 3 weeks of sermons, Bible journaling and discussion on the web forums.  We will have heard from community speakers, telling us about specific needs within the community.

        What’s next will be an opportunity to talk in depth about what we’ve been hearing, thinking and learning.  We’ll do this through short term small groups.  A Connection Event will be held to introduce the conversation and study topics and to help people get connected up into small groups.

        These Vision Venture small groups will meet for 6 weeks, and each group will set its own meeting time and location.  You’ll be provided with conversation topics, Bible study materials, discussion  questions and small group guidelines.  We’ll have trained leaders to help guide each group.  Existing groups may also choose to take part in the Vision Venture by meeting weekly and making use of the materials provided. 

        In your group you’ll have a great opportunity to make new friends and deepen relationships with people you may already know.  You’ll have a chance to discuss your own gifts and blessings and learn about others’.  You’ll reflect together on how to use and share them in your lives.  And you’ll participate in the “Delivery Week” activities that begin on November 7^th as part of your small group experience.

        The Connection Event on October 12^th is the way to get started!  It’s one more way – quite possibly the most important one in this Venture -  to help you live deeper into the vision of “Delivering God’s Love to People in Need.”
